How to Calculate Concrete Volume For Slump Test

Slump Test is the most common method of measuring the consistency of concrete which can be employed either in the laboratory or at the site of work very easily.
It is not a suitable method for very wet or very dry concrete. It does not measure all factors contributing to workability, nor is it always representative of the placability of the concrete.
However, it is used conveniently as a control test and gives an indication of the uniformity of concrete from batch to batch.

CONCRETE VOLUME CALCULATION FOR SLUMP TEST


The apparatus for conducting the slump test essentially consists of metallic mould in the form of a frustum of a cone having the internal dimensions as follows,

Bottom Diameter = 20 cm
Top Diameter = 10 cm
Height = 30 cm
The thickness of the metallic sheet for the mould should not be thinner than 1.6 mm. For tamping the concrete, a steel rod 16 mm dia with bullet end is used.

Volume of Frustum = πh(R² + Rr + r²) / 3
       = 3.14 x 0.3 (0.1² + 0.1 x 0.05 + 0.05²) / 3
       = 0.0055 Cubic Meter

Aapka question thoda alag hai, Ya topic jo explain kiya gaya hai wo, kitni concrete hum banay taki slump test me wo enough ho na to kam ho or na jyada waste ho to uska answer milahai ki quantity upar diye gaye dimension wale slump apparatus keliye 0.0055 Cubic meter yato 5.5 liter chahiye. Ye plaster ke liye nai hai. Aasa karta hu ki aapko mere ye explanation se thodi sahayta milegi.
